Penn Sate Beaver Takes on Shenango in 78-75 Defeat
Beaver, PA – Penn State Beaver Lions took on Penn State Shenango in a close match. Beaver started off the game with Second-year Alex Green (Chicago, IL) making a layup fifty seconds into the first half. After this, Beaver and Shenango would be locked in cat and mouse game of both sides earning points with Shenango eventually taking the lead. Third-year Trevor Franklin (Stafford, VA) landed a 3-point shot with twelve minutes left in the first half, starting a rush to gain back points for Beaver. Second-year Jermaine Knaff (Quincy, IL) would make the last score for Beaver in the first half in a layup.
Starting off the second half in a 39-31 game with Shenango as the leader, Trevor Franklin () would score for Beaver in a layup. Beaver would slowly close the distance between them and Shenango and eventually surpass Shenango with a layup by First-year Ny'zir Dix (Eastern Shore, VA) putting Beaver ahead at 53-52. Beaver and Shenango would go back and forth as the game leader. Shenango would ultimately take the match in a close 78-75 match. Second-year Jermaine Knaff (Quincy, IL) would claim the last points for Beaver and the game in a layup with three seconds left.
Second-year Alex Green (Chicago, IL) would lead Beaver in the game, earning 18 of beavers 75 points. This would be achieved with him seeing 5 rebounds, 0 assists, and 1 steal. Third-year Trevor Franklin (Stafford, VA) followed him, earning 15 points for Beaver, doing so with 8 rebounds,0 assists, and 0 steals.
