About the Gary B. Keefer Wellness Center
Gary B. Keefer Wellness Center
Penn State Beaver added a state-of-the-art Wellness Center to the campus gym in 2012 and in the spring of 2014 it was named in honor of former Beaver Campus Chancellor, Dr. Gary B. Keefer.
The $3.3 million project, designed by Pittsburgh-based WTW Architecture, added 4,980 square feet of space to the gym and included areas for weightlifting, cardio machines, and aerobics. In addition, 1,500 square feet of existing gym space has been renovated.
The Wellness Center contains a number of amenities for the entire Penn State Beaver communtity including:
- A 1,000 spectator fieldhouse with collegiate regulation basketball and volleyball courts with an electronic scoreboard
