Beaver Finds a Way to Steal One Against Franciscan

Steubenville, OH - Once again, Beaver hit the road in tonight's match-up vs Franciscan. This would prove to be quite as interesting series both teams would walk away winning one game each. In the first match, Third-year Nathan Doutt (Edinboro, PA) would provide Beaver with the first run for them at the top of the 2nd inning. Beaver would take control early on in this one and would go onto win 6-4. However, in the second match Franciscan would take the reigns and return the favor beating Beaver 11-2.

Game 1: Doutt would lead Beaver having 2 runs, with Fourth-year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ), Third-year Christopher Cann (Selden, NY), Second-year Ryan Coulombe (Easton, PA), and First-year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan) would have 1 run each. Stribling would contribute 2 RBIs, while Cann and First-year Benjamin Ogle (East Berlin, PA) would both have 1. Doutt recorded 3 hits on 4 appearances batting, with Coulombe and Hsu recording 2 hits in 3 appearances batting. For pitching, First-year Emmet McCowin (Hopewell, PA) would have 3 strikeouts, while Second-year Cayden Jacobs (Rochester, PA) and Second-year Kairu Fujinuma (Saitama, Japan) would record 1 strikeout each.

Game 2: Second-year Ryan Van Bramer (Pottstown, PA) and First-year Rheece Barone (Oakdale, PA) would both give Beaver 1 run. Third-year Ian Butler (Stafford, VA) and Coulombe recorded 1 RBI each. For pitchers, First-year Andres Molinar (Long Beach, CA) would chart 2 strikeouts, with First-year Nicholas Hayes (Punta Gorda, FL), Second-year Nathan Asher (Ross, OH), and Ogle would all adding in 1 strikeout.
