Monaca, PA - In today's rematch against Penn State Shenango, Beaver would see themselves coming out of this match up 1-1. Similar to yesterday's game, Shenango would take an early lead by going up 5-0 after 3 innings. However, Second-year Justin Lambert (Uhrichsville, OH) would give Beaver their first and only run of this game in the 4th inning. Shenango would then go on to score 3 unanswered runs, where the game would be called a 8-1. Nonetheless, Beaver seemingly regrouped and it showed in the second game. Beaver was able to return the favor and beat Shenango 3-2.
Game 1: Lambert provided Beaver with their only run of the game. Third-year Nathan Doutt (Edinboro, PA) would record 1 RBI in this game. First-year Benjamin Ogle (East Berlin, PA) recorded 2 hits in 3 appearances batting. In at pitcher, Second-year Kairu Fujinuma (Saitama, Japan) would record 4 strikeouts.
Game 2: Fourth-year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ), Third-year Christopher Cann (Selden, NY), and Lambert would each have 1 run for Beaver. Third-year Philip Betz (Marietta, CA) would have 2 RBIs and Stribling would record 1 as well. In Stribling's only appearance batting this game, he would record a hit. For pitchers, Doutt recorded 5 strikeouts in this one, with Second-year Justin Perera (Clarksburg, MD) adding in 2 strikeouts.
