Monaca, PA - In today's conference match, Beaver hosted Penn State Fayette in a doubleheader. Penn State Fayette would strike first with a run in the 1st inning. However, First-year Andres Molinar (Long Beach, CA) would respond with Beaver's first run in the 2nd inning. Beaver would not find themselves scoring another run till the 5th inning, where Third-year Philip Betz (Marietta, CA) and Second-year Jake Burke (Lakeport, CA) would score. Beaver would then go on to be outscored 7-0 in the 6th inning, placing the score at 15-3 and the game would get called from there. Nontheless, Beaver would find their groove in the second game with a huge 6th inning, scoring 4 runs and winning 10-5.
Game 1: Molinar, Betz, and Burke would be the only players for Beaver with a run. First-year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan) and Burke logged 2 hits in 3 appearances batting. Third-year Nicholas Campbell (Lewes, DE) and Burke would both record 1 RBI each. As for pitching, Second-year Kairu Fujinuma (Saitama, Japan) would record 4 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched, and Second-year Cayden Jacobs (Rochester, PA) would add 1 of his own.
Game 2: First-year Benjamin Ogle (East Berlin, PA) would lead this game with 3 runs, followed by Fourth-year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ) and Hsu with 2 runs each.
