Beaver has Tough Loss Against Mid-Michigan College
Beaver takes loss in first game of Spring Training
Myrtle Beach, SC- The Lions started their Spring Training with a JV game vs Geneva College and a game against Mid-Michigan College. Beaver was successful in their JV game getting a 3-2 win over Geneva. The second game was not as successful with a 9-1 loss. They were able to score their only point in the top of the fourth. First year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan) hit a double that scored Fourth year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ).
First year Benjamin Ogle (East Berlin, PA) recorded one hit in four at bats. Fourth year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ) recorded one hit and was the only run. First year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan) had 2 hits and 1 RBI. First year Oscar De Luigi (Scottsdale, AZ) started the game on the mound and pitched for 3 innings and gave up only 4 hits, 1 walk, and 0 earned runs while striking out 2. First year Andres Molinar (Long Beach, CA) pitched for 1 inning and gave up 1 hit, 1 earned run, and 3 walks while striking out 1. Second year Ian Butler (Stafford, VA) pitched .2 of an innings and gave up 6 hits, 3 earned runs, and 2 walks.
The Lions are now 0-3 on the year. They are back in action on March 9 in a double header against PSU Schuylkill at 4 and 7.
