Monaca, PA – Penn State Beaver Women's Volleyball hosted Kent State Tuscarawas for the second time this year. Beaver and Kent State first met in their first match of the season in the USCAA Tip Off Tournament.
In set 1 Kent State got out to an early lead of 8-1. Beaver started to fight back getting a couple 3 and 4 point runs but it proved not to be enough, and Kent State took the first set 25-13. Beaver responded well to start the second set getting out to an early lead of 7-1. Beaver fought hard for the rest of the set to keep their lead, but just could not fend off Kent State who came back to win the set 25-17. In the third set both teams fought hard, and the score went back and forth until the score was 11-8 in favor of Kent State when Kent State went on a 3-point run to extend their lead to 5. After going down 5 Beaver was unable to get any closer and went on to lose set 3 by a score of 25-19. This ended the match with Kent State Tuscarawas winning 3-0.
Penn State Beaver Women's Volleyball goes on the road to take on Franciscan University in their next match on September 12th at 7:00pm.
