Heartbreaker ends Beaver's Season 3-0 to Mont Alto
Mont Alto, PA - Today the Volleyball team travel to play in the first round of the PSUAC Playoffs against #1 West Ranked Penn State Mont Alto. Beaver's season was ended in 3 sets and a heartbreaking finish. Finishing with set scores of 25-14 Mont Alto, 25-19 Mont Alto, and 25-17 Mont Alto, Beaver fought but it wasn't enough. Beaver put up a good fight this season with an overall record of 8-13 and conference record of 5-7. The team will no gear up to make their run for the 2024 season next fall.
Leading the charge for this playoff game was second-year Courtney Simpkins (Palm Bay, FL) who had 25 assists, 13 digs, and 1 block assist. First-year, Zoie Reid (Salem, OH) had 8 kills, 7 digs and 2 serivce aces this game which was a huge help to Beaver this game. Third-Year, Lanie French (Beaver, PA) had 10 kills, 5 digs, and 1 assist this game. First-Year, Sofia Perez (Botoga, Columbia) was right up there with the previous two; she had 4 kills and 8 digs. Second-year, Makayla Soloman (Houston, TX) was the other half of Simpkins assisted block and had 5 kills this game. Beaver had a full team effort in their playoff run. Even with the final score, Beaver fought hard and continued to battle until the final point.
Beaver Volleyball is sadly done for the 2023 season but will be in full swing again come August 2024. We hope to see you all back in the Beaver Field House next season.
