Sharon, PA - Beaver brings home another win after beating Penn State Shenango 3-1 in another PSUAC match-up. This brings Beaver to an overall 6-5 record with a 3-3 conference record going into the second half of the season. Beaver had a dominating 1st set against Shenango winning 25-14, the 2nd set ened up in favor of Shenango though 25-23, with Beaver finishing it off in the last 2 sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-14. Overall, as a team, Beaver had 39 kills, 39 assists, an impressive 16 service aces, and 99 digs.
Leading the team was first-year, Sofia Perez (Bogota, Colombia) who has 19 digs, 8 kills, 1 assist, and 4 service aces. Next was 1st-year Hannah Hoffman (Coraopolis, PA) who also had 19 digs, with 3 assists, and 2 service aces. Second-year, Courtney Simpkins (Palm Bay, FL) also had an impressive night with 17 digs, 31 assists, 3 kills, and 1 service ace. Third-year, Lanie French (Beaver, PA) was 1 of 3 people with 10 digs on the night while also recording 12 kills. The other players with 10 digs included two first-year players Carly Harbrige (Chocowinty, NC) and Jaiden Strnisa (Clinton, PA).
