Monaca, PA - Today Penn State Beaver took on Penn State Du Bois at home. Beaver came out strong in the first set taking the win 25-23. Beaver then came out blazing in the second set winning 25-17. The third set was very close the entire time with each team scoring back and forth, but Du Bois ended up taking the win 25-21. The fourth set, Beaver came out ready to win taking the final set of the game 25-15.
Senior Breann King (Houston, PA) and senior Ramiya white (Westland, MI) led the way on offense today combining for 26 kills. King had 14 kills and White had 12 kills. White was also tonights player of the game having 12 kills on 58 ttempts and 2 digs. Freshman Courtney Simpkins (Columbia, MD) played an amazing offensive game have 23 set assists. Sophmore Maria Matts (Pittsburgh, PA) also played an amazing offensive game having 14 set assists and 2 aces. Senior Marian Nelson (Fairbanks, AK) played as a libero tonight for Beaver and had 8 digs.
