Monaca, PA- The Lady Lions of Penn State Beaver came out hot in their home match with Penn State Fayette.
In set one, Beaver built a 12-7 lead and never looked back, taking set one 25-18. Fayette seemed to take offense to that, and tooks set two by the score of 25-18 and then set 3 by the score of 25-14. Set four was a back and forth set, but Fayette pulled away late, taking set 4 25-21 and the match 3-1.
Senior Breann King led Beaver with 10 kills and 11 digs. King and Senior Ty Smith recorded 6 blocks a piece in the loss.
With the loss, Beaver now sits at 2-12 overall and 2-5 in the PSUAC. Up next for Beaver is the PSUAC cross over event. On Sunday, October 10th, Beaver will travel to State College, PA to take on Penn State Hazelton and Penn State Scranton. Gametime is set for 12:30 and 4:30 p.m.
