Monaca, PA - Today the Women's Soccer Team began conference play taking on Penn State Brandywine at home. Entering this game, Beaver has been on a three game losing streak, struggling against tough opponents.
Brandywine scored two of their three goals in the first half of the game. The first at 21:52 and the second at 25:52. Two seconds later, Beaver scored their only goal this game. Brandywine scored their third goal early into the second half of the game, traveling home with a 3-1 win over Beaver.
Fifth year Abigail Pereira (Hillside, NJ) scored the only goal for Beaver and was assisted by first year Cassidy Crean (Wrightsville, PA). First year goalie Kierstyn Mays (Sterling, IL) finished with 24 saves out of 27 shots on goal.
