BEAVER FALLS, Pa.—The Penn State Beaver women's soccer team suffered another conference loss to Penn State Mont Alto 5-0 during Monday afternoon's PSUAC bout.
The Lady Lions struggled offensively and weren't able to score any shots in the first while Mont Alto netted a goal in the fifth and 15th minute of the period to put Beaver in a 2-0 deficit at the half. Beaver fared no better in the second points-wise while allowing Mont Alto to rack up three more goals to take a 5-0 loss for the day.
Freshman Veronica Andujar (Weston/American Heritage Boca/Delray) finished with two shots and two on goal while sophomore Stephanie Sosa-Bravo (New York/Grand St. Campus) finished with one shot for the day.
At the net, freshman Megan Bartley (Austintown/Austintown Fitch) goaltended for 90 minutes, allowed five goals and had seven save against the 12 SOG he faced.
Beaver falls to a 3-5 overall record and drops to fourth (2-3) in the PSUAC standings. The Lady Lions will travel to Penn State Brandywine in for their final conference match of the regular season Saturday, Oct. 12. The match is slated for 1 p.m.
