Lady Lions Lose Heartbreaker in Final Regular Season Home Game
Lady Lions take the loss versus Penn State DuBois with a tough 71-63 loss
Monaca, PA- In their final home game of the regular season, the Lady Lions took on Penn State DuBois in a conference match-up. Lady Lions struggled to gain the lead in tonight's game. Getting things started for Beaver was Second-year, Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) scored first with a jump shot. She was followed by a layup from First-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA). First-year Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) was right behind Enderle with a layup. Going into the locker-room, Beaver was down 37-21. Tesch started the scoring of the second half with a layup. First year, Cashimere Ralph (Pittsburgh, PA) made a layup to get Beaver up to 38 points. Ralph scored the first points of the fourth. First year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh,PA) made the final points with a three-pointer to get Beaver to 63 points.
First year Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had 15 points, with 4 rebounds, 1 assist, and 4 steals. First-year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) scored 13 points, along with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal. Second year Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored 10 points,4 rebounds, 3 steals, and 1assist. First year, Cashimere Ralph (Pittsburgh, PA) played tough with 5 points and had an impressive 12 rebounds. Beaver was 6-14 from the free throw line which was 36.0% and shot 7-75 (42.9%) from the field.
Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball is now 15-9 overall and 12-4 in conference play. The Lady Lions will have one final conference game before the PSUAC playoffs begin.
