Lady Lions suffer second loss in conference play

DuBois, PA – Lady lions road trip proves unsuccessful in loss to Penn State DuBois with a score of 65-62. With the final score only being a difference of 3 points it is clear to see that both teams put forth a lot of effort and drive this game. Second-year Claudia Siegfried (Wilkes-Barre, PA) scored Beaver's first point of the game with a lay-up. She was followed up by a free throw by Second-year Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX). Black came back with a jumper to get Beaver a 5-4 lead in the first. At halftime, the lady lions were down 30-36. Siegfried gave Beaver their first points of the half with a three-pointer to cut down the lead. By the end of the third, Beaver was only down 46-48. Beaver entered the fourth with a three pointer by First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA). At the beginning of the fourth, Beaver was up by 7 points. Beaver's final points of the game was a three-pointer by Black.
First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) scored 16 points this game, had 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) scored 8 points, lead the team with 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and the team's only block. First-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) scored 9 points, 6 rebounds, had 2 assists, and 3 steals. First-year Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) scored 8 points, had 7 assists, 5 steals, and 4 rebounds. The team went 23-72(31.9%) and 7-16 (43.8%) from the free throw line.
Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball is now 12-7 overall and 9-2 in conference play this season. The Women's Basketball team will now take on another conference opponent, Penn State Shenango.
