Beaver wins 97-46 to improve their conference record to 7-1
Lady Lions continue dominating the PSUAC West conference with their 97-46 win over Penn State New Kensington
New Kensington, PA – Lady Lion's trip to Penn State New Kensington proved successful by increasing their lead over the PSUAC West. First-year, Katie Enderle (Darlington, PA) scored the first two points for Beaver off of a jump shot only 30 seconds into the game. This was quickly followed up by a layup scored by First-year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA). Second-year, Taylor Woodruff (Pittsburgh, PA) had a layup that pushed Beaver ahead 6-0 within the first 2 minutes. Beaver scored first in the 2nd quarter with a jumper made by First-year, Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA). Beaver was up 53-19 by the end of the first half of the game. Beaver did not hold back scoring 28 points in the 3rd quarter alone! Early in the 3rd quarter, Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX). Early in the 4th quarter, First-year, Morghan Prevost (Houston, TX) made a three to extend Beaver's lead. Prevost scored the final point for Beaver with another three with only 27 seconds left in the game.
Second-year, Emery Black (New Braunfels, TX) led the team in points this game by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. First-year, Jaden Tesch (Chippewa, PA) scored 12 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. First-year, Morghan Prevost (Houston, TX) scored 12 points this game along with having 2 steals. First-Year player Bailey Rieg (Pittsburgh, PA) had 12 points along with 2 assists. The team had 26 rebounds, 18 assists, and 19 steals. The team went 9-14 from the free-throw line which was 64.3% and shot 38-63 from the field for a 60.3% success rate.
Penn State Beaver Women's Basketball is now 10-6 overall and 7-1 in conference play this season. The Women's Basketball team will be at home on January 25th to take on Penn State Fayette at 1pm.
