Lady Lions continue winning streak defeating Penn State Worthington Scranton 98-56
Beaver stays hot and easily beats Penn State Worthington Scranton 98-56.

Pittsburgh, PA - The Lady Lions improved their win streak to 5 games defeating Penn State Worthington Scranton 98-56. Beaver started off on a 24-6 run to begin the game. Junior Asia Borders (Ellwood City, PA/Lincoln) would make a layup with a minute left in the first quarter, making the score 29-9. Senior Morgan Kurtz (Washington, PA/Trinity) would add two free throws increasing Beaver's lead to 31-9 going into the second quarter.
Beaver would again come out hot starting the second quarter after a Kurtz three making the score 35-9. Freshman Miranda Davis (Point Saint Lucie, FL/Saint Lucie West Centennial) would add a layup at the 1:20 mark to increase Beaver's lead to 44-17. With fifteen seconds left in the second quarter Borders would sink a jump shot putting Beaver up 46-17 going into the half
Five minutes into the third quater Sophomore Brittany Jackson (Turle Creek, PA/Westinghouse) would knock down a jump shot putting Beaver in front 55-25 halfway through the third quarter. Kurtz would add eight straight points for Beaver adding to Beaver's lead making it 67-28 with four minutes left in the quarter. Senior Khalia Adams (Washington,DC/Phelps) would knock down a three pointer before the quarter would end with the score going into the fourth quarter 78-36 in favor of Beaver.
The fourth quarter would add the same story to it as Adams would add 7 straight points putting Beaver up 88-44 with six minutes left in the final quarter. Borders woulod add a jump shot putting the score at 98-54 with fifty seconds left in the game. After a late shot by Scranton the final score would turn out 98-56.
Kurtz would lead the way offensively with a game high 36 points. Borders would add 18 while Adams recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 assists. Beaver now sits at 11-9 overall and 8-1 in the conference. The Lady Lions travel to Penn State Fayette for their next game on Wednesday, February 3rd.
