Fayette, PA---- The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions fell for the first time in the conference regular season to the Roaring Lions of PSU Fayette by a score of 93-75 on Thursday night. Fayette got off to a fast start, taking a 10-0 lead, and Beaver was never able to regain the lead. The Lady Lions cut it to 5 early in the first half but a strong first half shooting performance from Fayette gave the Roaring Lions a halftime lead of 49-35. Beaver was able to cut it to 11 two seperate times in the second half but that was as close as they got as Fayette pulled away and dropped Beaver to 9-3 overall and 6-1 in the PSUAC.
Beaver got 20 points from Amanda Temple (Avella, Avella), who also added 7 rebounds. Morgan Kurtz (Washington. Trinity) had 14 points and senior Brittany Tomaselli (East Liverpool, East Liverpool) had 12 points.
The Lady Lions will not play again until January 5th when they host Ohio-Eastern at 2pm.
