Beaver Dominates with 11-1 Victory Over Wilkes-Barre

Dallas, PA - With an exciting win, the Penn State Beaver Men's Soccer team had a dominating day in PSUAC play. The team had an outstanding 11 goals in just 70 minutes of play when the Penn State Wilkes-Barre team called it quits. With 9 goals in the first half and scoring 2 more in the next 25 minutes of play in the 2nd half, the Lions dominated both halves compared to Wilkes-Barre's 1 goal. The team had an all around effort by every player on the team and look to continue the effort into the rest of the season.

Leading the team in this dominating game was 1st year, Logan Gabriel (Edinburg, PA) who score 6 goals out of the teams 11. Gabriel scored the first 4 goals of the game along with the 7th and 8th goals. 2nd year, Michel Rahbani (Beruit, Lebanon) scored 2 goals for Beaver, he scored the 5th and 11th goal.Three more players for Beaver scored, all 1st year players, Christian Garcia (Los Angeles, CA), Akif Yildirim (Turkey), and Kalani Pedrosa (British Columbia,  Canada). These 3 players scored the 6th, 9th, and 10th goals respectively. The team was outstanding together and ever player had an impact. 1st year, Gerold Werther (Cutler Bay, FL) had time on the field in both halves that assisted the team in this win. Overall, the team made great strides today and made improvements as a team which they look to carry into their future games. 

The team now sits with a 2-5-1 record overall and a 2-1 conference record. The team will take the field again next Saturday, September 28th at 2pm when they take on Penn State Greater Allegheny at Wright Field on the turf.
