Monaca, PA - The Lions were back at home today taking on Penn State Mont Alto. Before today's game, there was a small ceremony to celebrate the seniors.
Thank you Ethan Paxton, Jake Saldivar, Tyler VanKirk, and Devin Diluca for all your hard work and dedication to the Men's Soccer Team. We wish you the best of luck as you finish your last year of school. Congratulations on all of your achievements the past few years!
The Lions grabbed their first win of the season today defeating Mont Alto 5-2. Beaver scored their first goal, and the first goal of the game, just 26 minutes into the half when third year Joe Saldivar (Darrington, PA) scored an unassisted goal. This was the only goal of the first half.
In the second half, first year Robert Chauvenne (Georgetown, PA) scored the second goal for Beaver and was assisted by first year Michel Rahbani (Beirut, Lebanon). Beaver then went on to score their third goal when fifth year Ethan Paxton (Freedom, PA) was awared a pentalty kick. Three minutes later second year Andy Baltodano would score another goal for Beaver and was assisted by first year Fabian Jimenez (Orlando, FL). With just 30 seconds left in the game, first year Joseph Liddle scored the final goal for Beaver after being assisted by Paxton.
Beaver will be back at home for their final game of the season taking on Penn State York. Come out and show your support on Saturday, October 28th! The game begins at 2pm so don't be late! If you can't come out be sure to catch the game live on the Rise and Roar Network!
