Steubenville, OH - Today the Men's Soccer Team traveled to Steubenville, OH to take on the Barons of Franciscan University. After a grueling 90 minutes of play the Lions were unable to obtain a victory and bring home a win. The final score was 7-0 in favor of Franciscan University after the first half of the game and remained 7-0 through the second half until the final second. This now brings Beaver to an overall record of 0-3, with one more non-conference game ahead of them until they start in PSUAC play the Lions have another opportunity to bring home a win.
In this game, Beaver took 3 shots with only 1 shot on goal. 1st-year, Robert Chauvenne (Georgetown, PA) took 2 shots for Beaver and had the only shot on goal. 1st-year, Fabian Jimenez (Orlando, FL) took Beaver's other shot. Coming off another game with double digit saves, 1st-year, Quentin Wertz (Hookstown, PA) had 14 saves off 21 shots on goal against the Barons and played all 90 minutes once again.
Beaver will take the field again on Saturday, September 9th at 4:30pm when they travel to Franciscan University to play in Day 2 of the Baron Fall Classic, against Muskingum University.
