Beaver opened up the scoring just two minutes into the game as John Kazmiercsyk netting an unassisted goal at the 2:13 mark. The men didn't let up, they continued to pepper the net with shots and at the 14:35 mark Kazmierczyk netting his second goal of the game on the assist from John Valiga. Beaver would go on to score two more goals in the half, one from Travis Cook (assist Kazmierczyk) and another from Darrion Gilmore (assist Valiga) to carry a 4-0 lead into halftime.
To open the second half, the men of Beaver kept the pressure on Mont Alto as Shleton Hilliard netted back to back goals (51:16 and 62:53) to increase their lead to 6. With the game wide open, Beaver relaxed a little too much and gave up two goals to Mont Alto late in the half, but were quick to answer. At 83:41, Zhaopeng Wan scored his second goal of the season and then just five minutes later, Kazmierczyk capped off his day with a hat trick, scoring his third of the game (88:59) and eighth of the season.
Beaver cruised to the 8-2 victory to end their regular season and will head into the playoffs next week, likely to Hazleton for their 1st round playoff game. Details for the playoff game will be announced Monday, October 23rd.
