Beavers scores first win of the season against Kent State Tuscarawas

New Philadelphia, Ohio -- The Penn State Beaver men's basketball team was back on the road Monday night, where the team faced off against Kent State Tuscarawas in the second game of the regular season. The Beaver men come into the game after losing their first game on the road against Chatham University last Friday. Beaver looks to score its first victory of the season Kent State Tuscarawas.
The teams played each other tough in the first half and kept the game close. But Beaver pulled ahead slightly, ending the first half with a 4 point lead (36-32).
The remaining half proved just as tough as the first for Beaver, only outscoring Kent State Tuscarawas by 1 point in the second period. However, it was enough for the team to secure a narrow 74-69 victory for the day.
John Foster and Jeremy Redwine led the team in scoring, contributing 22 points each for Beaver.
The Beaver men shot 100 percent from the field, making 26 out of 26 field goals. Beaver also shot 100 percent from 3-point range and 70.4 percent from the free-throw line.
After Monday's win, Beaver sits at a 1-1 overall record for the regular season. The men will be back on Wednesday, Nov. 14 to host Community College of Allegheny County – Boyce in the team's first home game of the season. Game time is at 7 p.m.
