The game started off tit for tat to open the game for the first 15 points. Beaver started to give too much space to Mont Alto shooters from behind the arc. Mont Alto stretched the lead to ten, then Beaver started to fight back before halftime to stay in the game. They were only down by five with four and a half minutes left until half. After inching closer, Mont Alto broke out on a 10-0 run and lead at halftime 53-39.
The second half did not look much better for Beaver as Mont Alto started the second half on a 6-0 run. Mont Alto's offense just seemed to be too much for Beaver today. Mont Alto then went on a 13-2 run, and lead by 25 with eleven and a half minutes left. Mont Alto continued to lay on the offense with another 13-5 run and lead 88-57 with seven minutes left. Beaver just seems to have been running out of gas after halftime and loses 102-71.
Lamont Wright lead Beaver in scoring with 21 points. DJ Austin added 18 points and 5 assists in a losing effort. Eric Gallupe and Ignacio Alleyne both tallied up 15 points, Gallupe having 11 rebounds, and Alleyne finishing with 10. Beaver looks to take it to rival Greater Allegheny at home on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m.
