Beaver Loses in a High Scoring Battle vs Geneva
Beaver went on the road to face Geneva where they lost in a high scoring game
Beaver Falls, PA - Beaver would take a short trip over to Geneva to face off against them in non-conference play. Unlike most games, this match-up would be very high scoring. Beaver would have a rough start, as they would go down 12-0 after the 1st inning. However, the Lions would provide a much needed 8 runs at the top of the 5th inning. First-year Andres Molinar (Long Beach, CA) would have a phenomenal game, leading in runs for Beaver with 4. Nonetheless, Beaver would unfortunatley lose this battle 22-16.
Game 1: Molinar would lead Beaver with 4 runs, with Second-year Ryan Van Bramer (Pottstown, PA) chipping in 3 runs, Third-year Nathan Doutt (Edinboro, PA) having 2, and Fourth-year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ), Third-year Nicholas Campbell (Lewes, DE), Second-year Jake Burke (Lakeport, CA), Second-year Luke Burkhart (Blacklick, OH), Second-year Ryan Coulombe (Easton, PA), First-year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan), and First-year Benjamin Ogle (East Berlin, PA) charting 1 run each. Molinar and Ogle would both have 3 hits on 5 appearances batting. Burke, Ogle, Molinar, Van Bramer, and Coulombe would record 2 RBIs. Burkhart and Hsu would record 1 RBI each as well. For pitchers, Second-year Ian Butler (Stafford, VA) and First-year Emmet McCowin (Hopewell, PA) would chart 1 strikeout each.
