Conference Road Game Proves to be Tough For Beaver

Neshannock Township, PA - In Beaver's first look at their opponents Penn State Shenango, today's match went in favor of Shenango. The game would get out of hand rather quickly, as Shenango would lead 11-0 after 4 innings. Second-year Ryan Coulombe (Easton, PA) would give Beaver their first run in the game, followed by Third-year Christopher Cann (Selden, NY) at the top of the 5th inning. These would be Beaver's only runs of the game as Shenango would go on to score another run at the bottom of the 5th inning having the game called early at 12-2. Beaver would have more or less of the same outcome in the 2nd game as they would lose 3-1.

Game 1: Coulombe and Cann would be Beaver's only players with a run in this game. Second-year Jake Burke (Lakeport, CA) would record 2 hits on 2 appearances batting. First-year Mason Hsu (Tainan City, Taiwan) and Burke would each have 1 RBI. Beaver's pitcher, First-year Nicholas Hayes (Punta Gorda, FL) would record 1 strikeout.

Game 2: Cann provided Beaver with their only run in this match. Third-year Nathan Doutt (Edinboro, PA) would go on to record 1 RBI. As for pitching, Fourth-year Jacob Gresham (San Francisco, CA) would chart a strikeout in his tenure.
