Men's Baseball walks it off for first victory of the season

Myrtle Beach, SC - Penn State Beaver took Thursday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over Rochester Technical College. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the eighth when Third-year Christopher Cann (Seldon, NY) singled, scoring Third-year Nicholas Campbell (Lewes, De).
Penn State Beaver rallied for the victory despite trailing 5-1 in the fourth.
Penn State Beaver opened the scoring in the second after First-year Rheece Barone (Oakdale, PA) hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Fourth-year Aaron Stribling (Hainesport, NJ).
Rochester Technical College tied the game at one in the top of the third.
Penn State Beaver tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a ground out by Stribling, and a single by First-year Andres Molinar (Long Beach, NY).
Second-year Justin Perera (Clarksburg, MD) earned the win for Beaver. The lefty allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Third-year Nathan Doutt (Edinboro, PA) started for Beaver. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and five runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three.
Barone led the team with two runs batted in. Cann went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Penn State Beaver in hits. Penn State Beaver had patience at the plate, tallying 14 walks for the game. Stribling and Campbell each stole multiple bases for Penn State Beaver. Penn State Beaver stole five bases in the game. Penn State Beaver didn't commit a single error in the field. Campbell had the most chances in the field with seven.
