Beaver faces defeat at New Kensington

New Kensington, PA- Penn State Beaver Baseball hits the road as they go to Penn State New Kensington to take on their baseball team in a double header. In this away game the penn state Beaver baseball team did suffer a upsetting defeat to the team in both games. Yet they do have a chance at redeption as the team is set to take on New Kensington on their home field Sunday April 7th!

The first game began very slow for Beaver baseball as they were not able to score any runs within the first inning. While Penn State New Kensington was able to score 4 runs. Within the second inning Beaver was able to score 1 run, this was done by first year Ryan Van Bramer (Pottstwon, PA). While Beaver was able to score in second inning Penn State New Kensington was not able to score at all. Yet they came back in the third inning they were able to score another 4 more runs. Within the fourth inning Beaver was able to score another run, the run was scored by first year Jake Burke (Lakeport, CA). New Kensington was able to return and score 6 runs within the fourth inning The game ended in the fifth inning with a final score of 2- 14 Penn State New Kensington taking the win. 

The second game started off with the New Kensington team taking control of the game, as they scored 3 runs within the first inning. In the second inning Beaver was able to score one run, As first year Justin Lambert (Urhichsville, OH) hit a home run earning the team the run. New Kensington returned with scoring 2 more runs in the second innings. Within the third inning Beaver baseball was not able to score any runs, while New Kensington scored 8 runs. Within the fourth inning Bevear was able to score another run due to first year Logan Ferguson (Mufeesboro, TN). New Kensington gained three more runs in the fourth inning. The Second game ended with a final score of 2 - 16, New Kensington taking the win.
