Beaver Drops Game on Road against Penn State Allegheny

Butler,Pa  Beaver traveled to Butler today for a double header against Penn State Allegheny. Today's competition proved to be another tough game for Beaver,but they gave it their all, competing until the end of both games. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Penn State Allegheny. After this devastating loss they now are 2-31 overall and 2-17 in conference play.

In the first game, Beaver gave it their all until holding them to 1 run in the first inning. Beaver lost traction around the third inning giving up 5 runs and 8 runs in total. By the 5th inning Beaver found themselves in a 11-0 deficit. Freshman Christopher Cann (Selden,NY) pitched against 17 batters while Freshman Michael Kron (Aliquippa,Pa)  pitched against 7 batters. 

In the second game, Beaver got off to a good start with Sophomore Jericho Dela (Auburn,WA) Cruz getting a walk and stealing to get to second base. Cruz would get the first run of the day for Beaver, setting the tone early. Their efforts were just not enough against this Penn State Greater Allegheny team.   Senior Matthew Cater (Monaca,Pa) would add to the scoring column along with Freshman Christopher Cann (Selden,NY). Sophomore Aaron Stribling (Hainesport,NJ) would go 2-4 at bat along with freshman Christopher Cann (Selden,NY). Sophomore Jericho Dela Cruz (Auburn,WA) would go 1-2 at bat and would add to the scoring column with one run. Beaver would ultimately lose 11-4. 

Beaver is expected to play again on April 23rd against Penn State Greater Allegheny where they will continue conference play at home for Senior night.
