DuBois,PA Beaver traveled to Penn State DuBois today for a double-header. Today's competition proved to be another tough game for beaver,but they gave it their all, fighting until the end. However, their efforts were not enough to overcome Penn State DuBois. After this devastating loss they now are 2-28 overall and 2-14 in conference play.
In the first game, Beavers' efforts were not rewarded as they lost 22-2. This devastating lost put sent Beaver fans in shock as they would only play 5 innings. Beaver gained momentum late in the top of the 4th inning Senior Joseph Barile (N.Las Vegas,NV) popped a fly ball out to center field giving him an RBI, allowing Freshman Nicholas Campbell (Lewes,DE) to advance to third and for Freshman Philip betz (Marietta,CA) to get the first run of the day. Freshman Ernesto Castillo-Platero (Henricho,VA) went 1-2 at bat and also had an RBI. Freshman Nicholas Campbell (Lewes,DE) also went 1-2 at bat and had a run.
In the second game more of the same happened as beaver would go scoreless in this competition. Junior Ricardo Elizondro Jr. (Los Angeles,CA) went 1-2 at bat for Beaver and would be the only hit in this 11-0 game against Penn State Dubois.
Beaver is expected to play again on April 15th away where they will continue to fight to get back on track against Point Park University.
