Beaver Falls to Greater Allegheny
Penn State Beaver looses first game of the day to division rival Greater Allegheny
Mont Alto Pa-- Penn State Beaver took the field for their first game thursday against division rival Greater Allegheny.
With both teams ranked during the season, this was sure to be a good one. Fans filled the bleachers at Mont Alto excited for a great game in the PSUAC playoffs.
The game started slow, especially for Beaver as they didnt score their first run until the top of the 3rd inning. A single from Derek Bozic, brought home Blaise McCarty knotting the game at 1 run a peice.
However, at the top of the 4th momentum shifted heavily. Greater Allegheny gained a huge advantage over Beaver scoring 2 runs in the 4th and 4 runs in the 6th.
Beaver struggled offensively as they were unable to counter. They eventually went on to loose the game 7-1, in their first game of the day.
Jake Debo did his best to control the mound contributing 1 strikeout in 7 innings of pitching.
