Lions Open Weekend Series with Split

The Penn State Beaver baseball team opened its weekend trip to the east wih a doubleheader split with Penn State Worthington Scranton
In game one, Beaver won, 6-5. In game two, Scranton handed Beaver their first PSUAC loss of the season, downing the Lions, 12-8.
Offensively, Beaver was led by senior Ian Thomson (Hopewell High School) who collected 3 hits, 1 double, and 1 homerun for the day. Sophomore Greg Frederick (Quaker Valley High School) raised his record to 4-0 on the season, pitching 7 innings, giving up 7 hits, walking 4, and striking out 9. Freshman Ronnie Wilkins took the loss in game two.
