Beaver is proud to announce that two student athletes were named PSUAC Players of the Week!

The first is Beaver junior Blaise McCarty who has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for baseball as a hitter. McCarty hit .588 (10-of-17) in a string of five games with a pair of doubles, a homerun and six RBIs. THe junior hammered ten runs with three walks while holding down an on-base percentage of .650.

In the field, Blaise tallied a pair of putouts with five assists for the Lions defense.

The second is Beaver freshman Sarah Foose who has been named this week's PSUAC Student-Athlete of the Week for softball as a pitcher. Through 11 innings pitched in two games, Foose threw one complete game with an overall earned run average of 5.73.

Sarah sat down six on strikes through the 7-1 drop over Saint Vincent College, NCAA Division III.

In addition to her work from the circle, she also batted .273 with 1 homerun, 1 double and 3 RBI's.
