Hall of Honor - Class of 2025 Announced
Penn State Beaver is proud to announce the Hall of Honor - Class of 2025
Monaca, PA - Penn State Beaver Athletics is proud to announce the class of 2025. The Hall of Honor has been a part of Penn State Beavers athletics since 2018 inducting 35 former athletes, administration, and coaches to honor and recognize their hard work, dedication, passion for Penn State Beaver Athletics. Now introducing the next 6 inductees into the Hall of Honor:
Introducing our first inductee is BJ Bertges. Bertges was the former Assistant Athletic Director and Volleyball Coach at Penn State Beaver from 2012-2019 and is being inducted for her work as both a coach and administrator. During her time here she enhanced all areas of the department from being crucial in the improvement of the wellness center, game day enhancements, intramurals, and much more. After her time at Penn State Beaver, Bertges went on to be the Assistant Director of Championship events at the USCAA, and now is the Chief Operating Officer for the USCAA.
Next up is Brittany Jackson-Lowe. She attended Penn State from 2014-2018 and played for the Women's Basketball Team. While here she earned awards such PSUAC All-Conference (1st Team and Honorable Mention), PSUAC Player of the Week (multiple times). She was a member of the USCAA National Championship team in 2016 when the Women's Basketball team won their first National Title. After graduating, Brittany is now a personal trainer and nutritionist, living out her goals and helping others.
Another inductee is Tim Kubis. He attended Penn State from 2006-2010 and was a member of the Men's Basketball Team. During his time here he received a great number of awards including two-time PSUAC All-Academic, two-time PSUAC All-Conference Honorable Mention. After graduation he created his own company that provides therapy and educational based services for school districts that create individualized experiences for each student. Kubis is the owner of Garnet Educational Services.
Up next is Jessica Spina, who attended Penn State from 2013-2017, and was a 4-year member of the Women's soccer team. Spina is the first Women's Soccer player to be inducted into the Hall of Honor. She was a member of the PSAUC Championship team in 2015, which is the team’s only championship. Spina was honored by both the USCAA and PSUAC with awards such as USCAA Honorable Mention - 2-times, PSUAC All-Conference 1st Team - 2-times, and PSUAC All-Academic. After graduation, Spina works as a Logistics Manager and Social Media Director for Spina Dental Medical.
Inductee number 5 will be Justin Vorbach, who attended Penn State from 2007-2011. While he was here, Justin created the longest standing club sport, Club Inline Hockey. A former member of the hockey team, Justin was a critical part of their success, helping them win a WPACRHL championship as a player, and a few more as a coach and advisor. After Justin graduated, he went on to become an admission counselor at Penn State Beaver and received his master’s from Penn State. Justin currently is the Director of Admissions at Penn State Beaver and plays a critical part in the success of the university and athletic department.
Our final inductee is Ron Wilkins. Ron attended Penn State from 2008-2012 and was a 4-year member of the Baseball team. Wilkins was honored by the PSUAC with an All-Conference award, as well as two PSUAC All-Academic awards. Wilkins took his career to Geneva College after 2 years at Beaver before returning to finish his career at Penn State. Wilkins is currently the Owner of Trust Build LLC, the co-owner of Outta the Park Renovations, and the Vice President and General Manager of JR Hall Excavating.
To conclude, five of the inductees will be attending the Hall of Honors to receive their awards, Jessica Spina is not able to attend but is grateful for the opportunity to be added to this great class of athletes and administrators; she will have someone in attendance to accept her awards on her behalf. The award ceremony will start at 7:15 EST and will be broadcasted on the Rise and Roar Network.
