Andy Kirschner inducted to the USCAA Hall of Fame
2024 USCAA Hall of Fame Class - Andy Kirschner, Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach
Pittsburgh, PA – On Sunday, June 2nd, Athletic Director and Head Softball Coach, Andy Kirschner was inducted into the USCAA Hall of Fame in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Kirschner was honored at the annual USCAA National Convention Hall of Fame dinner. He was accompanied by his family, Father, Mike, Mother, Chris, Wife Emily, Daughters Natalie and Avery, Son, Drew, and Father-in-Law John McCandless.
Kirschner was one of five inductees to the 2024 USCAA Hall of Fame Class. Being inducted with him was Andrea Watkins, Dale Plummer, Kevin Carr, and Jessica Monzyk. (Read more about them all here) Kirschner was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his outstanding work as an Athletic Director and Coach at Beaver along with his work as the Former President of the USCAA and being on multiple committees for the USCAA throughout his time in the organization.
In his 25 years at Penn State Beaver, Kirschner has held many roles, Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach for 4 seasons, Assistant Athletic Director, Head Volleyball Coach, Head Softball Coach, and of course Athletic Director. Along with all these roles, Kirschner has been awarded many times for his work both through the PSUAC and the USCAA before finally being put into the Hall of Fame. Kirschner was the PSUAC Coach of the Year 4-times, USCAA Coach of the Year once, was awarded the USCAA Garth Pleasant Athletic Director of the Year twice, is a Scannell Award winner which recognizes an administrator, faculty, staff member or coach who has served the commonwealth campus athletic programs with distinction and is currently in the Beaver County Hall of Fame.
This honor is fantastic for Kirschner, his family, and department. Penn State Beaver Athletics is incredibly proud to have a USCAA Hall of Fame member and is extremely thankful for the work Andy Kirschner has done over the years.
