Pittsburgh, PA - Going into their first non-conference match-up since September 16th against Carlow University, Beaver stands 6-5 overall. Beaver started the game out strong, but by the end, they struggled to compete with Carlow and traveled home with their 6th loss of the season.
The first set went well for Beaver, although they did not win this set, they fell just short at 25-21. The second set was more of a struggle for Beaver losing 15-25. The third, and final set, was heartbreaking for Beaver. Carlow came out quick to get a 25-4 win, sweeping Beaver away and sending them home with another road game loss.
First year Zoie Reid (Salem, OH) claimed player of the game today finishing with 4 kills, 1 assist, 3 aces, and 4 digs. First year Sofia Perez (Bogota, Columbia) finished with 3 kills, 7 assists, and 2 digs. Second year Courtney Simpkins (Palm Bay, FL) finished with 1 kill, 8 assists, 1 ace, and 3 digs. Third year Laine French (Beaver, PA) finished with 2 kills and 6 digs. First year Carly Habrige (Chocowinty, NC) finsihed with 3 kills, 1 ace, and 3 digs.
