Mont Alto Sweeps Beaver in Final Home Game of the Season
Monaca, PA - Penn State Beaver Women's Volleyball had a hard fight this year, and ended the regular season 10-16 overall and 6-6 in the PSUAC Conference. Today, the Lady Lions played their final home and regular game of the season against Penn State Mont Alto. It was not an easy game for Beaver today. The first set proved to be difficult when Mont Alto came out strong scoring quickly. Mont Alto was able to take the first set 25-11. Beaver trailed for much of the second set, but in the last few point they put up a big fight. They could not overcome Mont Alto who ended the second set winning 25-21. The third set went quickly as Mont Alto came out strong closing the game 25-13.
Senior Ramiya White (Westland, MI) played hard tonight having 6 kills, 6 digs, and 1 solo block. Senior Breann King (Houston, PA) also played great tonight having 5 kills, 2 aces, and 4 digs. Senior Marian Nelson (Fairbanks, AK) played great defense tonight having 5 digs. Senior Clarissa Cook (Woodstock, VA) also had a great game finishing with 2 aces and 7 digs.
Today the seniors were recognized in a short ceremony prior to the game, which can be watched on-demand through the Rise and Roar Network. The Penn State Beaver Athletic department would like to thank the seniors for all the hard work and dedication they have given to the Volleyball Program.
