Monaca,PA- The Lady Lions enjoyed some home cooking Monday night, defeating Penn State Shenango 3-0 in front of an excited crowd.
Beaver took set one by the score of 25-17. Set two was hard fought, but Beaver prevailed 25-23. In set three, Beaver trailed most of the set, finally tying it at 24-24. Senior Bre King finished the match with two key blocks to push Beaver to the 26-24 set, and the 3-0 victory.
Freshman Kiana Stamper finished with seven kills. Freshman Katarina McCall finished with 15 assists, King had 13. King had 6 aces as well.
With the win, it pushes Beaver to 2-3 in the PSUCA and 2-9 overall. Up next, they travel to Penn State DuBois on Thursday, September 30th. Gametime is set for 7PM
