Lady Lions fall to Carlow on the road.
Beaver lose to Carlow in 3-0 set

Pittsburgh, PA - Penn State Beaver Women's volleyball team traveled to Carlow Tuesday night losing the match, 3-0.
The Lady Lions of Beaver suffered a tough loss, ending their 4 game win streak.
The first set was close and intense going point for point through 18, but ending 25-19 to Carlow. Set 2 Beaver kept battling hard but Carlow battled a little harder coming out of it 25-13. Beaver got off to a slow start, found themselves in a hole early and just couldn't dig out. In set 3, the Lady Lions responded with a few more points but were unable to gain momentum making it 25-14 for the final set.
A lot of the players had a successful night despite the loss. Freshman Morgan Cannister (Aliquippa, PA/ Hopewell) had a total of 7 kills on the night after missing nearly two weeks due to injury. Along with sophomores Jenna Petrucci (New Castle, PA/ Shenango) and Ryanne "Roxy" Kie (Laguna, NM/ Laguna Acoma) with 4 kills. Freshman Brenda Martinez (El Centro, CA/ Southwest) had 16 assists complementing the kills. Petrucci had 3 aces, following Kie with 2.
Beaver are now 5-0 in the PSUAC and 8-6 overall. Their next game is Friday, September 25, against CCBC at 5 p.m.
