Beaver loses to La Roche
Beaver loses 3-0
Pittsburgh, PA- Penn State Beaver women's volleyball falls to La Roche 3-0.
In the first set, Beaver struggled with their passing and serve recieve. After initially taking a small lead, LaRoche quickly turned the tides and took the set by a score of 25-7.
In the second and third sets, the team picked up their hustle and refused to quit on plays but they still only scored 11 in the second and 16 in the third. Coach Bertges was frustrated with the loss, but said that there were several rallies in those sets that could have easily gone in Beavers' favor, they just couldn't get the kills at the end of the rallies.
In the match Beaver was led by Natalie Gamble (McKees Rocks, PA/Sto-Rox) with 3 attempts and 2 kills, Kayona Ward (Beaver Falls, PA/Beaver Falls) with 3 attempts and 1 kill, and Amanda Palombo (Aliquippa, PA/Quigley Catholic) with 3 attempts and 1 kill also.
Beaver looks to pull themselves together and achieve a couple wins when they face off against Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State York on September 28th here at the Beaver Fieldhouse. Games that afternoon are scheduled for 2PM and 4PM.
