Monaca, PA---- Penn State Beaver dropped the first three sets of their match against the visiting Redhawks of La Roche as they lost the match of Monday evening. La Roche won the first set 25-9 and the second 25-8. Beaver did a nice job battling back in the third set but ultimately their comeback attempt fell short as the Redhawks took the third set 25-21.
For Beaver, Christina Murdoch (Aliquippa, Hopewell) had 13 digs and Amanda Palumbo (Aliquippa, Quigley) had 6 digs. Kayona Ward (Beaver Falls, Beaver Falls) and Daina Owens (Farrell, Farrell) each had 3 kills.
Beaver will play again on Wednesday as they travel to Penn State Du Bois to play at 7pm.
