Beaver Downs Greater Allegheny for Second Time this Season, 3-0

McKeesport, PA - The Penn State Beaver Women's Volleyball Team (8=9, 7-3 PSUAC), swept PSUAC rival Penn State Greater Allegheny in straight sets (25-12, 25-15, 25-11).
Beaver led comfortably in each set as they handled Greater Allegheny for the second time this season.
Beaver was led by freshman Natalie Gamble (Sto-Rox/McKees Rocks, PA) who recorded a team high 10 kills. Gamble also added an assist and an ace. Penn State Beaver Player of the Week, Rachel Grubbs (Freeport/Sarver, PA) led Beaver with 14 assists and a season game-high 7 aces. Grubbs also added 7 kills and 4 digs.
Freshmen Ella Epps (Penn Hills/Pittsburgh, PA) and Jenn Fannin (Harbor Creek/Erie, PA) also contributed offensively as they combined for 7 kills, 6 digs and 5 aces.
Beaver will travel across the state as the face Penn State Worthington-Scranton and Penn State Wilkes-Barre in a quad match on at Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday, October 8 at 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively.
