Beaver Finishes Tournament 0-3

Monaca, PA- The Lady Lions finished the pre-season Penn State Beaver tournament 0-3, falling to Fayette 3-0.  Fayette defeated Beaver 15-25. 15-25, 22-25.

In the loss, Sophomore Daina Owens (Farrell/ New Castle, PA) and Senior Heather Sandusky (New Brighton/New Brighton, PA) led Beaver with 5 kills a piece.  Freshman Kellie Karasack (Seneca Valley/ Cranberry Twp, PA), who was named to the All-Tournament team, led with 16 assists.  Sandusky also had 7 digs.

Beaver will return to action on Thurday, September 2nd, 2010 when the Lady Lions host the Friars of Franciscan University.
