Beaver Volleyball Defeats Greater Allegheny

McKeesport, PA - The Penn State Beaver volleyball team won its second game in a row, defeating Penn State Greater Allegheny in three sets.
Beaver, now 2-0 in conference and 3-7 overall, limited its opponent to just 25 points for the game and put up impressive numbers while doing so. Freshman Kayla Helble (Western Beaver/Industry, PA) had 9 kills on 9 attempts, and senior Heather Sandusky (New Brighton/New Brighton, PA) was 9 for 10. Sandusky also contributed nine aces for Beaver.
Sophomore Kellie Karasack (Seneca Valley/Cranberry Twp., PA) had a game high 16 assists, and added four digs and five aces in the win.
Next, the ladies continue PSUAC action across state where they will compete with Penn State Mont Alto and Penn State York on Saturday, Sept. 18. Game times are TBA.
