Lady Lions Drop to Mont Alto, 3-2

University Park, PA – The Penn State Beaver women's volleyball team ended its season with a loss to Penn State Mont Alto in the PSUAC Final Four.

Beaver made it to the semi-finals with a 14-3 conference record after defeating Penn State York in the first round of the playoffs. 

The Lady Lions lost after fighting through five sets. In the first set, Beaver took Mont Alto by the score of 25-19. In the second set, Mont Alto won the set by just three points (22-25). Beaver won the third set 25-18, but lost the fourth and fifth (11-25, 11-15).

Junior Heather Sandusky (New Brighton/New Brighton, PA) led the team with 19 kills. Senior Jen Hain (Northgate/ Pittsburgh, PA) had 25 assists, and Freshman Shannon Faix (Brentwood/Pittsburgh, PA) earned 15 digs.

With the loss, the Lady Lions ended its season with an overall record of 15-11, and a 14-3 conference record.
