Beaver Wins Two Against PSUAC Rivals

On Sunday, October 5 the Penn State Beaver Lady Lions volleyball team won two matches, 3-0 and 3-1, when they traveled to Penn State Fayette for conference games against Penn State Wilkes-Barre and Penn State Schuylkill.
Beaver defeated Wilkes-Barre, 25-8, 25-14, and 25-11. In the win, Beaver freshman Katie Landis (Rochester, PA) had eleven digs, sophomore Heather Sandusky (New Brighton, PA) recorded eight kills, sophomore Brittany Clair (Cranberry, PA) totaled ten aces, and junior Jennifer Hain (Pittsburgh, PA) led with twelve assists.
In the second match, Beaver defeated Penn State Schuylkill in the first set, 25-11, but lost the second, 25-21. Sets three and four, however, belonged to Beaver, 25-20 and 25-18. Landis had fifteen digs, Sandusky had twelve kills, and Hain led again with nineteen assists.
Beaver is 10-1 in the PSUAC and 13-9 overall. The women's next game is Wednesday, Oct. 8 when they travel to Penn State New Kensington. Time will be announced.
