Lady Lions Lose Three at La Roche Tournament

The Penn State Beaver Lady Lions volleyball team lost three in the La Roche College Tournament on Friday, Sept. 5 and Saturday, Sept. 6.

On Friday the La Roche College Lady Redhawks hosted and defeated Beaver, 0-3. Although Beaver went on to play a better game against the Carlow University Celtics, the Lady Lions lost, 0-3. Beaver's final defeat was on Saturday when the Lady Lions fell to the University of Pittsburgh-Greensburg, 0-3.

In the losses freshman Katie Landis (Rochester High School, Rochester, PA) led the Lady Lions with 19 kills. Sophomore Brittany Clair (Seneca Valley High School, Cranberry, PA) had 18 kills and junior Jen Hain (Northgate High School, Pittsburgh, PA) recorded 44 assists.

Beaver is 1-5 overall and 0-0 in the PSUAC. On Monday, Sept. 8 the women open their season at home when they host the Franciscan University Barons at 7:30 p.m.
