Beaver Falls to Geneva and Houghton

On Friday, Sept. 26 the Penn State Beaver Lady Lions volleyball team traveled to Geneva College where they lost two matches against Geneva's Golden Tornadoes and the Houghton College Highlanders, 3-0 and 3-0.
Geneva overpowered Beaver in three sets, 25-16, 25-14, and 25-23.
Junior Jen Hain (Pittsburgh, PA) had 17 assists, sophomore Heather Sandusky (New Brighton, PA) recorded 10 kills, and freshman Katie Landis (Rochester, PA) finished with 10 digs.
In the second match, Houghton took three sets from the Lady Lions, 25-19, 25-11, and 25-10.
Sandusky had 8 kills, Hain totaled 14 assists, and sophomore Brittany Clair (Cranberry, PA) recorded 15 digs.
The Lady Lions are 3-1 in the PSUAC and 7-8 overall. Beaver will return to PSUAC play when they host Penn State Fayette on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. Beaver lost the PSUAC season opener to Fayette. Sunday's winner will be in first place in the PSUAC West Division.
Attendees at Sunday's game will receive a free Penn State Beaver sports bottle.
