Lady Lions Lose Season Finale

The Penn State Beaver Women's Volleyball team traveled to Stuebenville, OH to wrap up the 2008 campaign.  The trip was not what the Lady Lions hoped, as they fell to Franciscan 3-0.  Set one started off slow for Beaver, as they stumbled to an 18-25 defeat.  Set two and three Beaver played better, but still fell short, losing 21-25 and 23-25.

In the loss, Sophomore Heather Sandusky (New Brighton High School/New Brighton, PA) led the team with 11 kills.  Junior Jen Hain (Northgate High School/ Pittsburgh, PA) recorded 23 assists and Sandusky led with 11 digs.

The Lady Lions finish the season at 20-12 overall and 18-2 in the PSUAC (third place).
