Bio
Shaun Schetka is entering his fourth year as the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Penn State Beaver. After building the program over the past three seasons, Coach Schetka and the women's soccer team won the PSUAC Championship in 2015 after going 8-7-1 overall and 6-3 in the conference.
For the 2016 season, Schetka looks to return his young starting core of players and has spent the off season recruiting to build stability around those players.
Schetka played locally at New Brighton Area High School where he was a four year letterman. After high school, he continued on to play one year at Southern Vermont College and then as a member of the US Men’s Paralympic National Team from 2005 to 2009.
Shaun’s coaching experience includes being the Boys Director of Coaching at Steel Town Magic Soccer Club as well as taking on the challenge of being the first Varsity Girl’s Head Coach as South Side High School, a position that he held for the 2011 and 2012 season. In addition to his coaching experience, Schetka holds a USSF National D License and is a member of the NSCAA where he holds his Level 2 Goalkeeping Diploma.
Schetka is a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management as well as a Master’s Degree in Sports Management with a focus in Intercollegiate Athletics Administration.
